Evandro Prado: O Muro: Alvorada e Confronto

Artist Evandro Prado presents works centred on the architecture of the city of Brasilia, portraying a city in construction, characterised by unfinished walls and incomplete structures. The focus on Brasilia becomes the occasion to reflect upon the current Brazilian political crisis and to raise question about democracy.

The exhibition O Muro: Alvorada e Confronto, on view in the Pavilhão da Criatividade at Memorial da América Latina, brings together ten large-scale oil paintings and six wooden sculptures of architectural structures, between which a large replica of the iconic column of the Alvorada Palace.
