Fernando Velázquez: #L1, after Dan Flavin

#L1 after Dan Flavin, it’s a matrix of 16 neon bars displayed in a 4m² grid and 4 speakers. An artificial life algorithm responds to the presence of people and activates the set composing a generative light and sound pattern.

With this piece the artist continues his research of the “Mindscapes” series which include videos, plexiglass prints, interactive installations and audiovisual performances, in which he explores the idea of landscape in relation to brain activity, to thoughts, and to the imaginarium.
