Hugo França: Impressão Vegetal

Impressão Vegetal is the title of the new series of works by Brazilian artist and designer Hugo França. Internationally known for his pieces created from discarded wood, on this occasion the artist presents a body of works born from the encounter with the German artist Tom Fetch. The series features twelve unprecedented monotypes, which França obtained from matrices made of pieces of trunks and blocks from the production of his sculptures. The drawings mark a new path in the designer’s career, still consistent with his practice, in which materials as wood, coal and varnish have always been present.
