José Resende

For the exhibition curated by José Augusto Ribeiro, the first solo show the artist presents in a Brazilian museum since 1990, José Resende (b. 1945, São Paulo) presents twelve new pieces, created from 2011 to 2015, eight of which conceived taking in relation to Pinacoteca’s architecture.

It’s worth mentioning that the Resende, one of the most important Brazilian artists of the second half of the 20th century, completes, in 2015, 70 years old and 50 years of artistic production.
