Julio Plaza: Poetic Industry

Curated by Cristina Freire, who previouly organized another solo show by Julio Plaza(1938, Spain – 2003, Brazil), the exhibition comprehends works by the Spanish artist who had an important role in giving new meanings and limits of technological devices to the art of the 1970s.

“Julio Plaza: Poetic Industry” also presents the involvement of the artist with the Museum of Contemporary Art during the 1970s, a period when the institution was still being established and acquiring new meanings.
