Lucas Arruda

The solo show presents Lucas Arruda’s new film “Neutral Corner”.
This work is based on the footage of the 1962 Welterweight boxing championship fight between Benny Paret and Emile Griffith in which Paret entered a coma and died ten days later in the hospital with the artist changing in the video the order in which the events took place.
The structure of the video recalls the multiplicity of horizons that populate the artist’s paintings.
