Luiz Hermano celebrates his 60th anniversary with the show “O Batedor e a Concha”.
The exhibition features 23 drawings (ink and coffee on paper), a sculpture made with ladles (metal) and three interactive sculptures made with scouts kitchen (wood and steel springs).
The ink drawings tell the story of the artist. When he began to develop his works, Hermano was unable to acquire paints, then replaced by the earth tones of coffee. Extrapolate the meaning of everyday objects is common practice in his search, the apparent simplicity hides a complex proposition ability to go beyond.
