Maria Lynch: A Dobra Palco, Rizomas e Selvageria

For the opening of “A Dobra Palco, Rizomas e Selvageria”, the floor of the 140 square meters exhibition space in the gallery’s ground floor was completely covered by popcorn, produced by the artist. In the same room are presented new pieces produced in 2015 specially for the show: seven large dimensions paintings and six sculptures.

Maria Lynch (b. 1981, Rio de Janeiro) currently lives in New York. The artist holds an MA from the Chelsea College of Art and Design (London). Among her main shows, we can highlight “Bordalianos do Brasil”, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Lisbon, 2013; Portugal. “Ocupação Macia”, Paço Imperial, Rio de Janeiro, 2012; 6th Curitiba Biennial, 2011; “Nova Arte Nova”, CCBB Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, 2008.
