Marie Voignier, Olaf Breuning, Christoph Keller: Os Trópicos

The exhibition presents a reinterpretation of the book “Tristes Tropiques” Lévi-Strauss, from the point of view of a French, a German and a Swiss. In the book, Lévi-Strauss describes his experience in three trips to Brazil between 1935 and 1938.

The show consisting of video art, photography, documentary, essay and criticism of great visual power and revolves around the experience of the artists, researchers and travelers in tropical environments: the works allow a contemporary understanding of the artists as ethnographers.
