Michael Wesely: Câmera aberta (Open camera)

Invited by IMS in 2014 to develop this project, German artist Michael Wesely installed six cameras – four analog and two digital – on the facades of buildings adjacent to IMS Paulista’s work, which continually captured images of the four faces of the new cultural center being built.

The cameras recorded the work of IMS Paulista for almost three years and were uninstalled at the end of construction in 2017. “The entire construction process leaves traces in the photograph, and it’s surprising to see what’s visible,” says Wesely.
