Omar Salomão: Influxo
Influxo [Influx] is the first solo show by poet, lyricist and visual artist Omar Salomão (b. 1983, Rio de Janeiro), son of renowned poet Wally Salomão.
His research investigates the relation between word and image, creating a third element from the association of both of these languages, thus generating new senses and multiplying the layers of comprehension. At the show, he gathers a selection of pieces presented at his solo exhibit at Oi Futuro, in 2015, and new artworks and installations created specially for Superfície.
Omar Salomão has presented solo shows at Oi Futuro (Rio de Janeiro), 2015; Galeria Mercedes Viegas (Rio de Janeiro), 2013 and 2011, Sesc Rio Barra Mansa (Rio de Janeiro), 2010, among others. He also took part in group shows such as the 3rs Bienal de Arte da Bahia, at Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia (Salvador), 2014; and the 18th International Festival of Contemporary Art Sesc_Videobrasil – Southern Panoramas, at Sesc Pompeia (São Paulo), 2013, and others.
