Paiva Brasil: Tangentes

Curated by collector Luiz Chrysostomo de Oliveira Filho, “Tangentes” comprises twelve new painting-objects, created with modules of wood covered by canvas and acrylic paint.

The exhibition is completed by seven historic works, created in the 1950s, 70s and 80s, allowing the visitor to be familiar with different phases of the artist’s production. For six decades, Paiva Brasil (b. 1930, Brazil) has been developing works of art based in the constructivist experience. He allies the abstract-geometric character of concretism to a playful aspect peculiar to his work.
