Pedro Hurpia

Galeria Marcelo Guarnieri presents the individual exhibition of the artist Pedro Hurpia.

Photographs, videos, paintings, sculptures and installations occupy the gallery on the artist’s first solo exhibition at the São Paulo’s space. The show, developed from notions of displacement and collapse – both from the land and from the photographic medium itself – investigates, through several devices, how to represent the natural phenomena that are perceived by the man only when they emerge to the surface or when the body is impacted in a direct way: earthquakes, landslides, sound waves. Hurpia’s production takes us to artists-painters-travelers and the raw material used in their projects that are captured in different regions and contexts.
