Ricardo Ventura: Malha Atlântica

Ricardo Ventura (b. 1962, Rio de Janeiro) opens Museu do Açude‘s 2015 program of temporary exhibitions. The site-specific installation consists of more than sixty amphoras hanging on trees that are located in a natural clearing. The objects produces shifting colours, shadows and sounds according to the interference of the sunlight, the wind, the movement of the branches and the swinging of the trees.

“Malha Atlântica” will be in exhibition until August 2015, in addition to the permanent sculpture collection of the space, which comprises works by Iole de Freitas, Anna Maria Maiolino, Helio Oiticica, Lygia Pape, Nuno Ramos, José Rezende, Piotr Uklanski and Eduardo Coimbra.
