Roberto Magalhães: Without foot or head

It is with Roberto Magalhães that Carbono Gallery honors the spirit of freedom of opinion steamed by a jung group of artists in the 60’s that made the exhibition Opinião 65. Sem pé nem cabeça (without foot or head) presents a series that receive the same name as the exhibition and takes place at the gallery on August 23th. 

The series is presented in an imposing acrylic case/frame and brings on an original print, from the 60’s to today, chosen in a rigorous selection of historical importance and quality, a book and a manuscript made by the artist. Many of the designs were exhibited in 2000 at the great show of the artist in the Instituto Moreira Salles, and others were reproduced in catalogs.

The exhibition is a real sample of virtuosity and graphic design invention of possibilities: the originals are in gouache, watercolor, graphite, or oil pastels. And yet, to contextualize the set will display screens in oil and acrylic artist.
