Rodrigo Sassi: Esquinas Que Me Atravessam (Corners that cross me)

The exhibition features 20 unedited works produced between 2016 and 2018. The set of works reaffirms plastic and conceptual references of the artist’s work formulated in the territories of the city and the architecture.

From elements used and discarded from the construction industry, Sassi creates his particular formal and poetic vocabulary, as in the great facility “Accommodated Body” (2018), the centerpiece of the exhibition. In the circular route proposed by the exhibition space itself are the smaller wall sculptures, produced in wood, concrete and metal (Walk the line series and Cestas, and the works Any day of the week is spring, Being reactive and Spyro Gyro); as well as a series of five woodcuts on paper, made from matrices also originating from the vestiges of urban buildings.
