Rosana Paulino

The exhibition at the Pinacoteca is the first institutional exhibition of Rosana Paulino. Paulino emerged in the Brazilian cultural scene in the mid-1990s, with a production focused on social, ethnic and gender issues. Her main subject is black women’s position in Brazilian society, and the various types of violence suffered by black people due to racism and the marks of slavery.
