Santos Dumont Exhibition
The Santos Dumont Exhibition is curated by Itaú Cultural – Innovation, Collection, Encyclopedias, Visual Arts, Production and CMDR (Espaço Memória) departments.
The exhibition displays part of the 450 items from the Itaú Brasiliana Collection, including documents, objects and pictures kept by him and inherited by members of his family. In addition to Santos Dumont’s original and personal items, the exhibition displays historical photographs from his time, recording flights in balloons and airplanes and portraits of him taken by major photographers in many parts of the world. There are also letters, personal documents, original invention patents, publications of the time praising his feats, books from this personal library, or by him, with dedications, projects and commemorative medals.
