The Now, the Before: An Overview of the MAC

Curated by Tadeu Chiarelli (former director of MAC USP and currently the director of Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo), the show features traditional genres of art, such as allegory, portrait, landscape and still-life on 85 works from the museum’s collection.

The exhibition, presented in a time when the museum had recently moved to its new headquarters, departs from a common aspect to all museums: the coexistance, in the same space, of objects and/or records of actions originated in different time and places.
