Tonico Lemos Auad: O Que Não Tem Conserto

“O Que Não Tem Conserto”, curated by Kiki Mazzuchelli, is the first solo exhibition in a Brazilian institution of the Brazilian artist based in London Tonico Lemos Auad (b. 1968, Belém).

The project includes works commissioned for Pivô’s exhibition space and a selection of pieces that brings to attention central concerns of the artist’s production: his works highlight rituals and technical skills, from embroidery and knitting to wood carving, evoking traditional methods for fixing and repairing objects, which gain new significance and forms.
