Willys de Castro: Múltipla Síntese

Curated by Denise Mattar, this exhibition comprises 35 works from different periods of Willys de Castro‘s (1926 – 1988, Brazil) production, an artist that attempted to accomplish a synthesis of the arts, experimenting with music, poetry, design, scenography and costume creation, other than visual arts.

Among the highlights of the show are some rarely seen works from the early 50s; pieces from the series Objetos Ativos (1959 – 1962), which gained him recognition as a groundbreaking creator; and some Pluriobjetos, from the 1970s and 1980s.
