Seung Yul Oh’s work manipulates objects within surroundings to disrupt convention and release them from their normal utilitarian functions. The results may be a whimsical and profound reflection on the dualities and paradoxes of everyday life. Hidden patterns and geometrical forms emerge out of the otherwise ordinary shapes and objects as Oh activates and transforms the physical space into his creative and imaginary realm.
