Chen Duxi: Two Sides Of A Coin

Gallery 55 announces the first solo show in Shanghai of the Beijing-based artist Chen Duxi, entitled “Two sides of a coin”, from November 10 to December 31. The exhibition contains ten new works of a series called “chì yì” which means “focus on serenity”.

The artist questioning on the figure of the fisherman, who has a special and symbolic meaning in the Chinese culture, tries to act like him and investigates the perpetual flux of water in his paintings made between the rhythm of body movement and the natural, flowing water.
