Guan Xiao: Elastic Sleep

The K11 Art Foundation and the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London present “Guan Xiao: Elastic Sleep” the artist’s first institutional solo exhibition in China co-curated by Katharine Stout and Victor Wang.

Guan Xiao is very interested in exploring the agency of digital communication and the internet as a universal tool for understanding the world, regardless of geographical location.  She uses the foreground the visitor’s as a sensory experience by using sculpture and moving-image media to create immersive works that emphasize the imaginative possibilities for the relationship between the digital realm and the real world.
