Ana Prvacki: Finding comfort in an uncomfortable imagination

Los Angeles-based artist Ana Prvacki is a specialist in hospitality, having developed participatory projects, short films, publications, and books documenting her research on the subject since 2005, when she started her serviceoriented company Ananatural Production.

She has been described as a paradox or pharmakon. A pharmakon, as formulated by French philosopher Derrida, can be a remedy, poison, drug, recipe, charm, medicine, substance, spell, artificial colour, or paint. Her catalogues have been described as ‘a mix of Dada, Zen, and Martha Stewart’.

Ana Prvacki will produce a new publication and exhibition for the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore.
