Darren Soh: In the Still of the Night (While You Were Sleeping)

In the Still of the Night (While You Were Sleeping) is a photographic collection of large-scale nocturnal landscapes of Singapore.

10 years ago, Darren Soh embarked on a journey of discovery and self-discovery with his camera. His first serious foray into photographing landscapes and spaces in Singapore would later become his first monograph, setting the stage for all that he would capture.

10 years on, many of these spaces have changed. This 2015 exhibition is not an attempt to revisit these spaces from his first project. Rather, it is a continuation of his search for the unfamiliar in the mundane, a presentation of another side of Singapore that is almost alien yet very much real.
