Tiago Tebet and Antonio Kuschnir
Baró Galeria on the occasion of Art Palma Brunch presents Tiago Tebet, exploring fragility through flowers, and Antonio Kuschnir, blending dreamlike narratives in painting with a theatrical touch.
As part of Art Palma Brunch, Baró Galeria presents two captivating exhibitions.
Room 1: Tiago Tebet – 8 Billion Flowers
Curated by Esmeralda Gómez Galera, this solo exhibition by Brazilian artist Tiago Tebet explores fragility and permanence through the motif of flowers. Tebet combines painting and textiles, transforming the fleeting nature of flowers into enduring, abstract forms that evoke the passage of time, death, and spirituality. The title references both the uniqueness of each blooming flower and the global population of eight billion people, symbolizing individual, irreplaceable moments.
Room 2: Antonio Kuschnir – ¿Dónde florece lo salvaje?
Curated by Ana Júlia Vilela, Antonio Kuschnir’s work delves into non-linear narratives in painting. Combining figures, objects, and landscapes across time periods, his vibrant yet subdued palette creates dreamlike atmospheres. Drawing inspiration from Picasso, Matisse, and Cézanne, Kuschnir incorporates theatrical elements into his compositions, leaving room for the viewer’s interpretation through evocative titles and fragmented scenes.
