Tree Time
The exhibition is a collaboration with Museo Nazionale della Montagna “Duca degli Abruzzi", Turin
The exhibition gives voice to the languages of art for a new vision, management and care of trees, woods and forests. Twenty contemporary Italian and international artists and a selection of documents from the collections of the Museomontagna and the National Library of the Italian Alpine Club address the theme of trees according to a historical-scientific narrative: an original experience to observe, understand and reconfigure our relationship with the vegetable universe.
Trees are the greatest allies for maintaining the planet’s climatic and atmospheric balance, they cover almost 30% of the earth’s surface and many form complex and fascinating ecosystems: forests.
The deterioration of the conditions of the forests inevitably also affects the quality of our life, exposing us to conditions that are increasingly insecure and unpredictable every day. In response, a new awareness is emerging of the impact that human interference has on natural ecosystems and the urgent need to rebuild sustainable forms of coexistence for the time to come.
