Arturo Herrera: Soave sia il Vento
“Soave sia il vento” (May the wind be gentle) is the third exhibition of works by Arturo Herrera at Franco Noero, the first in the spaces of Via Mottalciata.
The exhibition consists of a new series of works in which the relationship between continuity and discontinuity as well as the associations between the various elements are essential. The title is taken from the first terzettino of Mozart’s opera, “Così fan tutte” in which the air of sublime beauty, bids farewell to any kind of defined order, what follows are chaotic and fragmented events.
Herrera looks at the architectural features of the gallery’s spaces, doing so he realizes interventions aimed at implementing full interactions with all rooms in the gallery.
The artist suggests a non-linear syntax , reflecting both the impact of formal and conceptual correspondences between elements of its individual works , and on those that take place in the whole installation of his exhibition. Paintings that denote their objectivity are presented in three separate series.
