Dalle bombe al museo: 1942-1959

GAM Torino, Via Magenta 31

Thanks to more than 60 paintings and 90 photographs, “Dalle bombe al museo: 1942-1959” (“From Bombs to Museum: 1942-1959”) retraces the history of GAM Torino‘s reconstruction after WWII. Becoming an incredibly emblematic example of the rebuilding of Post-war Italy, the museum hosts works of artists such as Marc Chagall, Hans Jean Arp, Giacomo Manzù, Hans Hartung, Emilio Vedova, and Pinot Gallizio. Among art, history, architecture, and design, the installation also proposes some of the pieces of GAM’s original forniture.
