Giorgio de Chirico. Major Works from the Collection of Francesco Federico Cerruti

Castello di Rivoli, Piazza Mafalda di Savoia, Rivoli

The exhibition showcases eight important paintings by the metaphysical painter Giorgio de Chirico, made at the beginning of artist’s career, from 1916 to 1927. The pieces belong to Francesco Federico Cerruti’s private collection which until now have been hidden away at Villa Cerruti in Rivoli. The works offer a glimpse over De Chirico’s metaphysical research and his intellectual heritage, placing the pieces in dialogue with some of the major contemporary artworks from the permanent collection at Castello di Rivoli.
