Horiki Katsutomi: Anatomy of Restlessness
Via della Rocca, 19
Raffaella De Chirico Arte Contemporanea presents a solo show by the Japanese artist Horiki Katsutomi (b. 1929) whose work refers to Ulysses and the Odyssey.
With reference to the literature of Bruce Chatwin and Fernando Pessoa, the show consists of a dozen works on canvas and some cards made in the ’70s. The canvases of Horiki dedicated to the hero of Homer differ in colors and sizes, some cards are made using paper and ink to create false fingerprints.
The exhibition inaugurates the new gallery space of De Chirico, always in the interior courtyard of Via della Rocca, 19, a space conceived as project room dedicated to emerging artists.
