Marisa Merz: La danza delle ore
Marisa Merz: La danza delle ore is a joint exhibition organised by Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Fondazione Merz and GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino to mark the centenary of Marisa Merz’s birth. Curated by Chiara Bertola, Sébastien Delot, Francesco Manacorda, Beatrice Merz, Chiara Parisi and Marianna Vecellio, the project unfolds across three venues from 29 October 2026 to 4 April 2027, bringing together a significant selection of works, including previously unseen pieces, that trace the artist’s practice and lasting influence.
GAM presents the most intimate chapter of the exhibition, offering a historical perspective on the more everyday and domestic aspects of Marisa Merz’s practice. The exhibition unfolds around the idea of the home-studio-workshop: a space of creation and transformation par excellence, where art and life become inseparable. The exhibition also offers the opportunity to present Living Sculpture (1966), a work from the GAM collection, to the public once again following its meticulous restoration by the Conservation and Restoration Centre in Venaria.
