Mike Nelson: L’Atteso

Binario 1 at OGR

For his commission at OGR, Mike Nelson has produced an immersive installation transforming Binario 1’s nave, inviting the audience to enter an environment that alters the usual coordinates of the space.
Nelson is know for his massive environmental installations subverting the sense of place within the spectator: through the appropriation and exposure of everyday materials. He reveals hidden or unforeseen elements which unsettlingly appear and stop the viewer in their tracks.
