New Gen 2026
New Gen 2026 is the final exhibition of the fourth edition of New Gen, a project dedicated to the development of young artists under 30, organised by Almanac, Cripta747 and Mucho Mas!.
Following an open call, eight artists were selected, five from Piedmont and three from other parts of Italy: Guglielmo Buzzelli, Sveva Conte, Greta Maria Gerosa, Marco Mandorlini, Giulio Polloniato, Eva Vallania and Samuele Zenere.
For the 2026 edition, Giulia Crispiani, Invernomuto and Aterraterra served as tutors, working alongside the curatorial teams of the three independent spaces to support the artists throughout the workshop and production phases through studio visits, mentoring sessions and collective discussions. The exhibition presents new works developed in response to the themes, ideas and critical questions that emerged during the workshops.
Addressing the limited opportunities for exchange between emerging creatives and professionals in the art sector, New Gen provides a space for sharing practices, languages and perspectives. It encourages participants to present their work, engage in dialogue and critically reflect on their position within the contemporary art scene.
New Gen is a project by Almanac, Cripta747 and Mucho Mas!, supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT and Regione Piemonte.
