Pier Paolo Calzolari: LUNA

Galleria Franco Noero presents LUNA, a new solo exhibition by Pier Paolo Calzolari, featuring primarily previously unseen works. The exhibition forms part of an ongoing investigation into painting, its tools and expressive possibilities, through a language that seeks to move beyond its traditional boundaries.

The works chart the vitality of an artistic practice in constant evolution, in which matter, colour and natural elements converge to redefine the relationships between surface and space, two-dimensionality and volume, and what is revealed and what remains elusive. Together, they evoke a poetic horizon in which matter becomes a vehicle for apparitions and the painted surface a site of continuous transformation.
