Trevor Paglen: Unseen Stars
The exhibition is part of the CONTINUUM programme, a weekend of art, music and performances.
OGR Torino, Corso Castelfidardo 22
The exhibition, created for the spaces of the OGRs, is part of a broader reflection on space and its control that the artist has been carrying out for almost ten years using important scientific collaborations such as NASA and MIT in Boston.
For the occasion, Trevor Paglen transforms the OGR into an aerospace pseudo-laboratory: three “non-functional satellites” and a series of elevated structures – similar to the scaffolding on which technicians and engineers usually operate – will scan the entire nave of Track 1 giving life to an abstract space, whose highly theatrical and polyform lighting amplifies the doubling of the architecture reflected on the mirrored surfaces of the satellites.
