東西閒情 Il Dolce Far Niente

Taking the “sweetness of doing nothing” as its point of departure the exhibition, organised by Lucie Chang Fine Arts, places Mediterranean notions of life alongside Eastern traditions of leisure, ease and sensibility, reconfiguring them into a renewed understanding of time, perception and everyday experience. Within this framework, Zhu Xinjian rearticulates the expressive potential of ink through vital and dynamic brushwork, while Thomas Braida constructs pictorial and sculptural worlds that move between reality and imagination. Together, their practices unfold a cross-cultural dialogue on perception, desire and states of being, articulated through distinct but interconnected visual languages.
