Alchemy of colour

Renewed spaces of Palazzo Mocenigo main floor, with the Multimedia Room and the White Room, host a suggestive travel through textiles natural dyeing techniques. 

“Alchemy of colour” suggests how this process has been one of the first technological human activities and how its evolution influenced economic and cultural growth of humankind.

The exhibition, curated by Stefano Panconesi, Sissi Castellan, Chiara Squarcina and Augusto Panini, presents raw materials (such as colors derived from roots, barks, leaves, flowers, fruits and insects, or original pigments) and final products of dyeing process.
