Alessandro Mendini: Visi
Fourteen objects and six drawings by Alessandro Mendini form the core of the exhibition project, curated by Aldo Colonetti and the Alessandro Mendini Archive, hosted in the Biblioteca Nuova Manica Lunga of the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice, a tribute to one of the most renowned Italian designers who passed away five years ago.
Realised in collaboration with the Alessandro Mendini Archive and Codiceicona, this exhibition is dedicated to Mendini’s research around the power of the body as the matrix of the project. It is simply entitled “VISI” (Faces), because the face itself is the focus of this collection of works created between 1987 and 2018, emphasizing how it has long been a careful source of design research.
