Jure Kastelic: All desire is a desire for being

“All desire is a desire for being” features a series of paintings that explore the attribution of value, archetypal narratives in contemporary culture, and technology’s influence on modern economics. Kastelic takes inspiration from analog and digital resources such as dissident online communities, classical painters, and essays on the history of economy, to paint surreal and dream-like scenarios on large canvas. This is Kastelic’s first exhibition in Venice.
