Anecdotes on Origin
The School for Curatorial Studies Venice presents “Anecdotes on Origin” at A plus A Gallery with artists Lea Cetera, Beth Collar, Jeschkelanger, Ella Littwitz, Arash Nassiri
The exhibition is curated by 19 individuals from 15 countries with varied perspectives on origin; unpacking perceptions of culture to create a sense of movement in time and thought. Exhibited pieces include sculpture, print, video, installation, as well as an off-site performance.
Expanding upon societal and cultural origins, this exhibition will also include an installation by Berlin-based artist collective Jeschkelanger at Ca’ Sagredo Hotel in Venice, which will translate into the gallery and further address merged experiences. Remaining optimistic that by casting a suspicious eye on tradition and reciting new stories, conversations moving forward will acknowledge that the concept of origin is malleable and elective.
