Architectural and Design Landscapes
On the gallery’s second floor, “Architectural and Design Landscapes” presents pieces by Maison Matisse alongside selected jewellery by gallery-represented artists, exploring the themes of myths and surrealism. On the first floor, five works by Perrin & Perrin complement the display and are presented as part of the Venice Glass Week programme.
The Architectural and Design Landscapes exhibition runs in parallel with “Architectural Landscapes”, which opened as part of the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale. This latter presentation is further enriched by newly unveiled pieces from Étienne Moyat.
For the Biennial, the gallery’s other floors also feature new works. On the ground floor, a diptych by Étienne Moyat takes centre stage. Known for his sculptural work in wood, the artist here reveals a more intimate and rarely seen aspect of his practice: painting. In this pair of abstract works, rendered in shifting tones of blue, green, and white, Moyat evokes a dynamic landscape where sweeping gestures and layered compositions suggest a nature in constant transformation. The diptych echoes the organic force of Gianluca Pacchioni’s sculptures and resonates with the contemplative spirit of the Palazzina’s imagined garden.
In Venice, Galerie Negropontes celebrates the meeting of artistic heritage and contemporary creation, fostering the dialogue between art and design.
