“Brigitte Niedermair: Me and Fashion” features more than 30 images and still lifes by the artist and photographer Brigitte Niedermair, dedicated to the world of fashion. The pictures, on view in the private apartments of the Mocenigo family, perfectly dialogue with the 17th and 18th centuries atmospheres of the interiors. Niedermair personally selected some of the paintings that originally decorated the rooms, replacing them with her photographs. The juxtaposition with the paintings from the museum’s collection makes evident the powerful idea of femininity emerging from Niedermair’s pictures, enriched by the seduction and elegance which characterise the imaginary of fashion photography.
