Claude Cahun, Marcel Moore: I Owe You, 21 Apr 2022 — 27 Aug 2022
The gallery presents an in-depth focus on the work of surrealist artist and writer Claude Cahun (France, 1894 – 1954), in which photographs and books will be on display.
The exhibition – the result of months of exchanges with experts in the field – aims to show the exceptional research of Claude Cahun, who anticipated, together with their partner Marcel Moore, topics like identity and gender, which are very relevant in the contemporary society.
A limited-edition publication with texts by curators and researchers Silvia Mazzucchelli, Miriam Rejas del Pino, and Paola Ugolini will accompany the show. Each volume will also include a work by artist Marcos Lutyens, who will do two hypnotic performances during both inaugural days of the exhibition.
