Da cosa nasce cosa Atelier 2025 – 2026

The title is borrowed from Bruno Munari’s celebrated book, which, drawing on an ancient teaching by Lao Tzu, reflects on the meaning of design as an open-ended process, shaped by experimentation, transformation and endless possibilities. This idea offers a perspective through which to approach the exhibition without defining its interpretation, becoming a metaphor for the curatorial work developed throughout the residency.

Curated by Camilla Mozzato, "Da cosa nasce cosa" is the result of an ongoing dialogue with the twenty-eight artists, supported through studio visits, individual meetings, workshops and opportunities for collective exchange. The exhibition thus presents the public with the outcome of almost twelve months of shared research: not so much a final destination as an evolving practice, developed over time through dialogue, exploration and experimentation.

Rather than identifying a common trend, the exhibition creates a space for exchange between independent artistic practices, offering a snapshot of emerging Italian and international contemporary art as it takes shape.

The 28 artists from the 2025–26 Atelier programme featured in the exhibition are: Irene Mathilda Alaimo, Daniele Antoniazzi, Nina Baietta, Anna Benetti, Martina Biolo, bottega hospites, Nuvola Camera, C. A. Castro Lobato, Paola Cenati, Cecilia Cocco, Ilaria Costaglia, Giorgio Maria Crescentini, Barbara Koller D'Alessandro, Enzo e Barbara, Simone Fochesato, Giulia Gaffo, Ketty Gobbo, Federica Gottardello, Hetty Laycock, Besnik Lushtaku, Rovers Malaj, Carlotta Mazzariol, Sara Pacucci, Isabella Ponte, Lorenzo Seano, Irene Stellin, Tommaso Viccaro and Zeroscena.
