The exhibition Formes de l’affiche. Posters from Chaumont opens in the rooms of Palazzetto Tito Bevilacqua La Masa, presenting the public a selection of posters from the collection of the Centre international du Graphisme Chaumont , town of Marne, in France, which in recent decades has positioned itself internationally as an elective reference for contemporary graphic design.
The “manifesto” or ” posters ” , continues to be popular and practiced by contemporary designers such as material and immaterial place of linguistic and conceptual research.
Among the selected posters Venice , some were commissioned to promote the International Festival of Posters and Graphic Design, which is held annually in Chaumont since 1990 ; others have been specially designed for original equipment , such as supporting images interpretation and narration of exhibition projects . In fact , beyond their communicative function , the poster is for Chaumont an extraordinary space of discussion and freedom of expression .
The exhibition will include, among others, the works of Åbäke, Jean – Marc Ballée, Jan en Randoald, Henning Wagenbreth, Christophe Gaudard, Mathias Schweizer, Karel Marten , Fanette Mellie , Loulou Picasso.
