From Chaos to Harmony

“From Chaos to Harmony“, the first exhibition of SUMUS, the Venetian headquarters of the cultural foundation created by Hélène Molinari in 2020, presents the works of three international artists: VAL – Valérie Goutard, Sébastien Lilli and Brigitte Moreau Serre. 

The exhibition, which intends to explore the transformative potential of art thanks to the awakening of consciences, is based on the rich symbology behind the number 7. Indeed, this number is recognised among different cultures and religions as a powerful number: 7 are the grades of the progressive scale, 7 are the degrees of consciousness, 7 are the skies (in both Islam and Christianity) and 7 are the stages of the journey of initiation. Even in physics, the dimensions appear to be 7, although we are able to perceive less.

The three artists interpret the number 7 with different approaches: VAL – Valérie Goutard with her avant-garde sculpture in 7 scenes entitled “From Chaos to Wisdom”; Sébastien Lilli with 7 videos extracted from his saga “From Chaos to Harmony“; and finally Brigitte Moreau Serre with her 7 sensory experiments.
