Gaetano Pesce: Five Glassmaking Techniques

Five Glassmaking Techniques is the exhibition at the Glass Museum, Spazio Conterie – Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia – by the Italian architect, sculptor and designer Gaetano Pesce.

The artist experimented a wide range of materials and his passion for glassmaking led him to ideate new techniques such as Pastis, Joliette, Vieux Port, Pâte de Verre and Plage that re-elaborate traditional methods in a contemporary key. The exhibition aims to narrate this creative phase of Pesce’s work focusing on his expressive language. It emerges the artist’s ability in instill his sense of forme in shaping glass, producing surprising and playful results.
