Giovanni Anselmo | Elisabetta Di Maggio
The Fondazione Querini Stampalia and Krizia present the
solo shows of Giovanni Anselmo “Senza titolo, invisibile, le stelle si avvicinano di una spanna in più, oltremare appare verso Sud-Est, e la luce
focalizza…” in the Area Carlo Scarpa, along with “Elisabetta Di Maggio: Almost Transparent Nature” in the museum’s spaces, during the 57th Venice Biennale.
As part of “Conserving the Future” contemporary art programme, the two artists have been invited to reflect in their own way on the same themes: transience and the passing of time. Anselmo, in comparison to Di Maggio, perceives a different rhythm of time that is geological, slow and constant while it is rhythmic, fluid and transformative for the second one. Strength and fragility, tension and suspension are other divergent aspects emerging by their works.
Giovanni Anselmo:
Senza titolo,
invisibile,
dove le stelle si avvicinano di una spanna in più,
mentre oltremare appare verso Sud-Est,
e la luce focalizza…
